Foodscreen Testing

Precision Mapping of Your Immune Response to Food

While traditional allergy tests focus on immediate IgE reactions, many chronic health issues—such as brain fog, fatigue, and digestive distress—are driven by "hidden" delayed sensitivities. FoodScreen, developed by ArminLabs, is a sophisticated diagnostic tool that measures your immune system's specific IgG and IgA antibody responses to food proteins. AvoVita Wellness facilitates private access to these expansive panels for Calgary residents, managing the professional mobile collection and international logistics required to reach ArminLabs' specialized facility in Germany. By identifying exactly which foods trigger an inflammatory response, you move away from restrictive "guesswork" and toward a data-driven nutritional strategy designed to restore gut-immune homeostasis.

FoodScreen: Advanced Diagnostic Mapping of Food Sensitivities

Foodscreen Basic (90 Foods)

The Armin Labs Foodscreen Basic (90 foods) test serves as an excellent foundational step for individuals in Calgary who are experiencing general discomforts such as bloating, gas, occasional headaches, skin irritations, or persistent fatigue, and suspect their diet might be playing a role. This targeted panel meticulously screens for IgG antibody reactions to 90 of the most commonly consumed foods that frequently contribute to delayed sensitivities. These include widely eaten staples across essential categories like cow's milk, wheat, corn, chicken, beef, tomatoes, potatoes, apples, and various nuts and seeds. The test works by analyzing a small blood sample to detect the presence and level of IgG antibodies, which are produced by your immune system when it identifies certain food proteins as potential threats. A higher level of these antibodies indicates a stronger immune response, suggesting that regular consumption of that food could be triggering inflammation or other adverse reactions. The results provide a clear, actionable report, allowing us to identify the most significant dietary culprits and initiate a personalized elimination diet. This initial phase helps to reduce the body's inflammatory burden and allows symptoms to subside, making it an ideal entry point for those new to food sensitivity testing and eager to explore the link between their diet and their health.

Foodscreen Plus (180 Foods)

For individuals seeking a more nuanced understanding of their immune health, the FoodScreen Plus panel expands the diagnostic scope to 180 different food proteins. This comprehensive screen includes everything in the Basic panel while adding a significant variety of alternative grains, seasonal fruits, specific seafoods, and various nuts and seeds. As our diets become more diverse, the "Plus" panel is essential for identifying sensitivities to "health foods" that are often overlooked, such as quinoa, amaranth, or specific plant-based milk alternatives.

The clinical utility of the 180-food panel lies in its ability to detect cross-reactivity and hidden sensitivities. By evaluating a broader spectrum of proteins, ArminLabs can provide a more detailed "Rotation Plan," helping you avoid the common pitfall of replacing one inflammatory food with another that your body also dislikes. AvoVita Wellness manages the specialized handling and international priority shipping for the FoodScreen Plus, ensuring that the wider array of antibody markers remains stable and accurate from the point of collection in Calgary to the laboratory in Augsburg.

Foodscreen Complete (270 tests)

The FoodScreen Advanced panel is the most exhaustive diagnostic tool available for total dietary mapping, covering 270 different food proteins, spices, and additives. This panel is the gold standard for individuals dealing with complex chronic illnesses, autoimmune conditions, or severe multi-systemic inflammation where even minor triggers can cause significant setbacks. In addition to the comprehensive lists found in the Basic and Plus versions, the Advanced panel deep-dives into exotic fruits, specialized medicinal herbs, various types of tea, and a wide array of culinary spices and seasonings.

The Advanced panel is crucial because it accounts for the "hidden" triggers that are prevalent in processed foods and professional culinary preparations. For the highly sensitive individual, a reaction to a specific spice or a rare grain can be just as debilitating as a reaction to wheat or dairy. By facilitating this elite level of testing, AvoVita Wellness empowers you with an unparalleled data set. You receive a definitive list of 270 items categorized by their reactivity level, providing the ultimate blueprint for a personalized, non-inflammatory lifestyle. This facilitated service includes the management of the larger sample volume and the complex logistics required for such an extensive international diagnostic profile.
