Insurance and Reimbursement

AvoVita does not bill any insurer directly, and testing is not covered by Alberta Health Services. You pay at the time of booking.

Private benefits and health spending accounts

Clients have successfully submitted AvoVita invoices to private benefits plans and health spending accounts. Coverage depends entirely on your plan and we cannot guarantee it will be accepted.

A detailed invoice is available for every order and can be submitted to your provider.

If your plan requires anything specific on the invoice, tell us before your appointment and we will do what we can.

Why testing is not covered publicly

Alberta Health Services covers laboratory testing ordered by a physician for a recognised clinical indication. AvoVita exists for the testing that falls outside that — markers your physician has not ordered, testing you want sooner than the public system can provide it, or tests that are simply not available through it.

That independence is the point. It is also why the cost sits with you.
